Creative Dance Academy was founded in 1988, and thanks to passion, dedication and highest standards of staff at our academy, we have been able to expand to six dance studios around Sydney since our founding. We are now one of the top dance schools near the Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blacktown and Hills area of Sydney’s West.

Today our dance school, Creative Dance Academy, offers training and tap dance classes, jazz, ballet, drama, Eisteddfod dance classes, acrobatics classes and more dance classes for kids, toddlers, preschoolers and teenagers. At CDA, we encourage our young dancers to explore the differences between dance disciplines to find out which style they enjoy most. There is no experience needed to join our casual classes and we warmly welcome everyone with a passion for dancing.

An overview of our classes

We teach a mix of popular dance styles to students of all ages. Each discipline is taught in-depth and at all levels from well-experienced, patient dance instructors.

Ballet

Ballet is one of the most popular classes and one that most students take to learn the foundations for many other dance styles. At Creative Dance Academy we pride ourselves with:

• individual training having every student’s age and experience in mind
• explaining and performing each routine patiently so students can easily follow
• offering a relaxed and social environment where dancing is fun
• preparing our students for competitive dancing.

Jazz

At CDA we consider jazz dance as a great way to combine movement with music and emotions. All jazz dance and combination classes taught at Creative Dance Academy are choreographed around age appropriate music. The classes are designed to increase body awareness and fitness levels for our students in a fun environment.

Tap 

In our tap dance classes students are wearing shoes fitted with heel and toe taps to create the typical tap sound. Tap dance classes are a great way to improve general fitness, coordination and timing. It also helps young students to develop a deep understanding for music and rhythm.

Drama

Drama dance classes are a great way for students to combine their acting and dancing talents. Students are trained to perform age-appropriate musicals or dramas while they improve their communication and social skills.

Creative Dance Academy operates six dance studios in Sydney. They are located in Cranebrook, Jordan Springs, Vineyard, Stanhope Gardens (Blacktown Leisure Centre), Wilberforce and North Richmond.
